Tidahapah – 48’ Bert Ellis Ketch-Rigged Motor Cruiser

Designed by Fred Fleming and crafted by esteemed Brisbane boatbuilder Bert Ellis, Tidahapah is a wonderful example of traditional timber boatbuilding blended with long-range cruising practicality. Launched in 1995 and constructed to USL 2C scantlings, she is planked in spotted gum with an ironbark keel and presents as a robust coastal motor cruiser with the added security of having a ketch rig.

Powered by a meticulously maintained Gardner 6LXB, Tidahapah delivers exceptional economy and a remarkable cruising range of approximately 1,600 nautical miles.

Step aboard and you are welcomed by a warm, light-filled saloon and galley finished in Queensland maple, wide walk-around decks and a generous covered aft deck—ideal for extended time aboard. Accommodation for six, including an ensuite-equipped aft cabin, ensures comfort for couples, families or guests on longer passages. There’s even an office for those who need to stay connected.

Tidahapah has benefited from ongoing professional maintenance and upgrades by Regatta Marine. The current owners have installed a Side Power bow thruster, Ventus 8kva genset, Victron inverter and all new batteries, an electric roof crane and electric davits on the stern. Her equipment list is comprehensive and includes upgraded refrigeration, water maker, solar array, quality galley appliances and extensive spares.
