Designed by UK Naval Architect, Frederick Parker and built by Cecil Cartledge, a well-known Launceston builder, Taslander was constructed to a 2C class survey and remained in survey until 2003. Maintained in excellent condition by the same experienced boating family for the past 35 years, this big volume cruiser has proven to be seaworthy, comfortable and very reliable as she has cruised extensively throughout Moreton Bay, on many offshore fishing trips, and some 30 plus extended reef cruises.
Taslander is powered by twin 140hp Perkins engines and cruises economically at 9 knots. She is equipped for extended cruising, provides spacious living and deck areas, a functional galley, great refrigeration and three cabins with plenty of berths for friends and family.
Her attentive owners have ensured that Taslander has been continually upgraded over the years and have undertaken any necessary maintenance. Norman R. Wright and Sons and Baddiley’s Marine Engineering have undertaken antifouling and engineering work for many years.
A proven blue water cruiser having circumnavigated Tasmania, and the east coast as far north as Lizard Island, Taslander is now available and ready to take her next owners on many cruising adventures. This classic motor yacht is available for inspection in Brisbane by appointment.
