Anchorline is proud to present this immaculately presented 2006 Riviera M400 for sale. 

The Riviera M400 has long been highly regarded, especially for being spacious and having a lighter and airier feel than more traditional sports cruisers. They have proven to be very popular, with a total of 99 being built. Salt, hull number 67 and the 4000^th Riviera to hit the water, is without question a standout in her class and following an extensive upgrade during the past 12 months, she is in a word, exceptional.

The current owners of this diesel powered M400 have been boating extensively between Sydney and the Whitsundays for many years. Decades of experience and a finely tuned knowledge of what works for them when cruising, led to the M400 being the vessel that suited their current requirements. A desire to now spend more time around the waters of Moreton Bay, in particular to explore the local rivers and creeks, meant that a shallow draft was necessary. There was also a need for easy handling without compromising on space to cater for family and friends.

Not long after taking delivery of Salt, she was hauled at the Riviera Aftermarket facility at Coomera.  From bow to stern all machinery, systems, fittings, and fixtures were checked, tested, and replaced if required or a more suitable modern option was available. Being conscious of retaining the original styling and feel for which the M400 is admired, all upgrades have been undertaken to enhance and refine the vessel, not take away from the heritage. Improvements were certainly well beyond cosmetic, with a complete upgrade of electronics and electrical, delivering the latest in Raymarine navigation equipment, display panels, and interior and exterior lighting, The engine compartment was emptied, including the removal of the Volvo Penta engines, and then repainted.

Before reinstalling the machinery and equipment, the Onan generator was overhauled, a new waste tank was installed, the air conditioning overhauled, and all batteries, pumps, engine room wiring and waste plumbing were replaced. To compliment the already installed bow thruster, a stern thruster was added. In July 2022, brand new stern drives (with 2 year warranties) were installed, and below the waterline was taken back to the gelcoat and a complete new antifouling system then applied. 

Other significant improvements include a new extended rear awning, providing shade over the swim platform and a custom-designed Melfi double helm chair. All soft furnishings were replaced, Wifi was installed, and more modern entertainment systems were fitted on the main deck. New breezeway and stamoid windscreen covers were made and a new tender and outboard (that can be easily stowed at the swim platform) was purchased.  

The M400 layout and functionality suits the Australian way of boating perfectly and lends itself to all climates from Tasmania to tropical North Queensland. Whilst Salt has all the M400 features, she is next level in condition and equipment, a tremendous benefit for her owners into the future.
