The Anchorline team have proudly SOLD & SETTLED the 2006 Riviera M400 Sports Cruiser ‘Salt’. 

The Riviera M400 has long been highly regarded, especially for being spacious and having a lighter and airier feel than more traditional sports cruisers. They have proven to be very popular, with a total of 99 being built. ‘Salt’, hull number 67 and the 4000th Riviera to hit the water, is without question a standout in her class, and following an extensive upgrade in 2021, she is in a word, exceptional.

In the later months of 2021, ‘Salt’ was hauled at the Riviera Aftermarket facility at Coomera. From bow to stern, all machinery, systems, fittings, and fixtures were checked, tested, and replaced if required or a more suitable modern option was available. Being conscious of retaining the original styling and feel for which the M400 is admired, all upgrades were undertaken to enhance and refine the vessel, not take away from the heritage. Improvements were certainly well beyond cosmetic, with a complete upgrade of electronics and electrical, delivering the latest in Raymarine navigation equipment, display panels, and interior and exterior lighting. At the same time, the engine compartment was emptied, including the removal of the Volvo Penta engines, and then repainted. Before reinstalling the machinery and equipment, the Onan generator was overhauled, a new waste tank was installed, the air conditioning was overhauled, and all batteries, pumps, engine room wiring, and waste plumbing were replaced.

To complement the already installed bow thruster, a stern thruster was added. In July 2022, brand new stern drives (with 2 year warranties) were installed, and below the waterline was taken back to the gelcoat, and a complete new antifouling system was then applied. Other significant improvements include a new extended rear awning, providing shade over the swim platform, and a custom-designed Melfi double helm chair. All soft furnishings were replaced, WiFi was installed, and more modern entertainment systems were fitted on the main deck. New breezeway and stamoid windscreen covers were made, and a new tender and outboard (that can be easily stowed at the swim platform) were purchased.
