2003 Fairway 36′ Flybridge
Anchorline is proud to exclusively present the 2003 Fairway 36′ Flybridge ‘Sea Dream’ to the market.
Delivered new to her previous owners in September 2003 and sold by our brokerage to her current owner, this Cummins powered Fairway 36′ is a fantastic example of these popular Australian built flybridge cruisers.
Stepping onboard the swim platform and through the transom door, you’ll find a spacious cockpit that has an extended awning and side curtains, providing all-weather use. Inside the cockpit, you’ll find a large fridge and freezer unit under the ladder to the flybridge, carpeting (with non-skid decking underneath), access to the lazarette (via a large hatch), as well as ample storage for lines, outboard fuel, etc. In lockers.
Divided by a large sliding glass door, the saloon and cockpit flow seamlessly. There is a screen fitted to the door to keep out any unwanted pests when you’re anchored on a still evening. As with all Fairway models, the galley runs the full length of the starboard side of the saloon. There is a front loading fridge/freezer and a 2 burner gas cooktop and oven. As mentioned earlier, there is also a large top loading freezer in the cockpit. Opposite the galley is a large ‘L’ shaped settee and a custom made saloon table with folding sides, ideal for a light meal or dinner with friends when extended. Sliding saloon windows provide plenty of ventilation and great visibility, whether you’re standing in the galley or seated at the settee. Aluminium venetian blinds are fitted to the saloon windows; there is LED lighting throughout and breezeway covers are fitted to the forward (accommodation) windows. There are also quality marine shadecloth window covers on all saloon windows. Whether you’re running that boat from the lower helm station or the flybridge, there’s a complete range of navigation electronics and controls for the anchor winch. The solar management system is situated at the lower helm station.
Heading forward from the saloon, you’ll find the traditional accommodation layout, with a double berth on the port side, a spacious toilet and shower to starboard, and two single berths in the bow. This is a great layout for a family, but it also works well for two couples or cruising with friends. The bathroom features a 12v marine toilet, sink, and large shower that doesn’t make everything wet when being used. The toilet is connected to a holding tank via a ‘Y’ valve. Hatches in the foredeck and opening windows on either side of the cabin keep the boat cool and comfortable during the warmer months. Storage for clothes, linen, towels, etc. Is provided in lockers and drawers.
Access to the flybridge is via the stainless steel ladder on the port side of the cockpit. Featuring a folding bimini, the flybridge is a great spot to enjoy whilst cruising or simply relaxing whilst at anchor. The two long settees are great for lounging, and there is plenty of space on the flybridge deck for lying in the sun, sitting on a beam bag, or storing equipment. The 3.1m Swift inflatable RIB is kept on transom mounted snap davits and is powered by an 8hp Mercury outboard.
Access to the engine compartment is through two large hatches in the saloon floor. When lifted, the engine can be inspected and serviced from above and on either side. The batteries and hot water system are located aft of the main engine. Here, you can also service the shaft seal easily. Additionally, the fuel and water tanks sit either side of the engine. Powered by a 330hp Cummins BT6 5.9,’Sea Dream’ offers a comfortable cruising speed of 10 – 15 knots and a maximum speed of 20 knots.
Having recently been slipped and antifouled, you can step aboard and be out on the water in time for the Christmas holidays and the summer cruising season. A private inspection of ‘Sea Dream’ is highly recommended, will not disappoint, and is available by prior appointment in Cleveland, Brisbane. Please contact our office for further details.
