With her beautiful lines and unmistakable ‘classic Moreton Bay’ design, Mallana is one of only a handful Brisbane designed and built timber cruisers that has been lovingly restored over hundreds of hours by an owner whose passion is to see her cruising and bringing enjoyment for many more decades.
Constructed by one of Brisbane’s well known and regarded classic timber boat builders, Bert Ellis, Mallana is a 45′ carvel planked motor cruiser, powered by a single Caterpillar. Originally kept in Brisbane before spending time in North Queensland, and in recent years returning Brisbane where she has been cruising Moreton Bay.
With the intention of restoring Mallana, her owners set about refurbishing her interior and exterior, upgrading her fixtures and fittings and even re-powering her with a 210hp Caterpillar engine. Always mindful of retaining her original styling and classic features.
Two spacious cabins, a large saloon and galley on the main deck level, covered walk around side decks and a big aft deck (unusual for this bridge deck style of motor cruiser), make Mallana perfect for a couple, family, or weekend trips out on the bay with your friends.
